Honey Pear Latte

Honey Pear Latte

The dream for this recipe came from my love and need for cozy, warming things when fall comes. I love seasons, and am always looking forward to the next one. Fall is one of my favorites. 🙂

The pear stands out strong in this drink. It’s also creamy, cinnamon-y, and has just the right touch of honey. I like lighter honey flavors, but you’re welcome to use whichever one you think fits the occasion.

  • pear
  • cinnamon
  • nutmeg
  • water
  • honey
  • milk

Sear the pear chunks with cinnamon. I think this adds lovely flavor to both the pear and the cinnamon – giving them a little head start before adding the water and honey.

Simmer pears in the honey mixture for a few minutes. This is to make the concentrate for the latte – we’ll strain the pears out later, and add heated milk. Keep on cooking until the pears are almost mushy.

While the pears are cooking, start heating your milk. You can use a milk steamer, or simply pour it into a small pot on the stovetop.

Put it all together! Pour the pear concentrate through a strainer into your mug. Add the hot milk and sprinkle your favorite spices on top.

Hygge. You know what you need – a book, blanket, candles…

I made my lattes with whole milk, but you could use coconut, almond, or whatever you think would be yummy!
Apples would work just as well as pears here.
