Hi, I’m Teresa.
And I can’t believe I now have my very own blog! If I would have known how much I had to learn when I first started working on it… I’m not sure I would have started. But! I’m so happy I did start. It’s been a grand adventure already.
A few preliminary facts:
- I’m from the Pacific Northwest. It’s one of the most beautiful places on earth, boasting mountains, lush farmland, and miles of evergreen forest. The people are adventurous, spirited, and caring. The food scene is amazing. I love it. 🙂
- Cooking, writing, and photography are some of my favorite art forms. So… a food blog, of course.
- The name of my blog is a play on the title of Jules Verne’s classic “Around the World in Eighty Days”. (Don’t watch the movie, don’t read the abridged version. Get the real thing.)
My dream for this blog is that you would be able to find recipes to inspire you on your own food journey. I believe in simple, whole foods from real sources. (Natural cane sugar has to be better than fake “healthy” substitutes made from chemicals right!?) I also believe that food is so much better when it is shared with people we love – whenever I taste something wonderful, my first response is to turn to someone and say, “Taste this!”
If you’d like to talk about a recipe, food philosophy, etc, I’d love to hear from you! Contact me here.
